About

Caerkief Cottages is owned and run by Emma and Bertie, who moved to Cornwall to live the dream in March 2025. They live in the farmhouse next to the cottages with Sassy and Snippy, the curious cats.

Caerkief gets its name from the prehistoric Caer Kief fort just a couple of hundred metres up the hill. The farmhouse was probably built in the mid-19th century using stone taken from the former quarry just across the lane from the house.

There's lots of wildlife including swallows (in summer), badgers, foxes, buzzards, stoats, deer, owls, bats, and lots and lots of rabbits.

Our aim is to ensure that our guests have everything needed for a pleasant and relaxing stay. Please contact us either before you book or during your stay to let us know if there is anything we can do to make your stay more enjoyable.

We look forward to welcoming you to our little slice of paradise in Cornwall!
